Luxurious glazed basalt pebble mosaic tile featuring rich teal tones blended with natural lava stone for bold spa-inspired designs.

Inspired by Hawaiian volcanic landscapes, the Pele Pebble Blend Series combines authentic Italian basalt stone with vibrant hand-applied glaze finishes to create a unique artisanal mosaic surface.

Each pebble is individually rounded, glazed by hand, and kiln fired at over 1000 degrees Celsius to achieve exceptional durability and a strong ceramic-like bond.

The Teal Tide blend combines glossy teal pebbles with natural lava stone for dramatic contrast, texture, and movement in both modern and organic interiors.

Perfect for shower walls, bathroom floors, backsplashes, spa areas, accent walls, decorative borders, fireplace surrounds, pools, and water feature applications.

Suitable for floors, walls, kitchen backsplashes, wet areas, and exterior frost-free installations.

Mesh-backed sheets allow for easier installation and can also be trimmed into decorative borders and custom accent layouts.

Pele Pebbles are handcrafted artisanal products and natural shade variation between sheets is an intentional characteristic of the collection.

Installation Instructions

Recommended Substrates:

• Properly cured mortar beds - ANSI A108.1B (minimum 7 days cured)
• Cementitious backer units (CBU) - ANSI A118.9
• Concrete slabs cured minimum 28 days
• Gypsum board for dry areas only - ASTM C1396
• An ANSI A108A-2.1.8 membrane is required behind CBU installations in wet areas

Setting Materials & Methods

Setting material requirements may vary depending on installation conditions and substrate type.

• Always use setting materials that meet or exceed TCNA guidelines
• Professional installation by an experienced tile contractor is recommended
• Installation methods should conform to TCNA standards
• Use premium white thinset mortar for best appearance and adhesion

• Glazed Pele Pebbles can be used on interior wall and floor applications
• Shade variation is a natural characteristic of handcrafted products
• Sealing is required before and after grouting
• A natural stone water-based penetrating sealer is recommended
• Traditional cementitious grouts are recommended
• Modern epoxy grouts may also be used by following manufacturer instructions carefully

Care & Maintenance

• Clean using pH-neutral cleaners safe for natural stone
• Use a clean soft cloth or sponge for routine cleaning
• Avoid acidic cleaners containing lemon, vinegar, or harsh chemicals
• Do not use abrasive scrubbing pads or harsh cleaning compounds
• Change rinse water frequently during cleaning
• Resealing throughout the life of the product is recommended
• Regular maintenance will help preserve the original glossy finish

We recommend sealing with a penetrating sealer prior to installation.
