Q. What are the advantages of using the Tile Levelers?

How to use 5 Easy steps

1. Screw spindle into spacing plate until screw tip is just visible at underside of plate.

2. Insert Tile Levelers spindle with spacing plate attached in between two tiles.

3. Lay adjacent tiles until all four corners, or two corners for the edge spacing plate are met.

4. Tighten spindle clock wise firmly until all four corners are lifted flush.

5. Remove spindle once tile adhesive is dry.

    you should have a clean (no mortar) line in the area where tile stopped.

    you can use the Edge spacer an inch or so inside the and the following day you start your new tile just like starting the first day.

    when starting new day you start with making sure the old and new part are aligning once you do you good to go

  3. ATR leveling question. How do I stop laying tile for the day (large 680 sf project) and return the next day? Do I dig out the area (mortar) where the spacers are on the edge of the tiles where I will continue the next day? Then do I place the spacers in the area where I removed the mortar before I leave for the day?

  4. How think are the spacers ? i read that i can use the system with underfloor heating. The wire of my floor heating system appears to be 3mm (1/8) but maybe as much as 5/32. Can i still use the 3mm product and expect the tile level to be above the wire or would the heating wire hold the base above the subfloor?

    Yes you can but you will not going to get the spacers future of the Cross or T spacer and you need to make sure your tile are in straight line, one of the advantages of the ATR on other leveling system we carry is that the spacing plates lock the tile into position giving you the most perfect intersection of the tile and straight lines without requiring consistent adjustments

    can I purchase just edge spacers since I would need more edge spacers than corner spacers on an elaborate installation like a pinwheel pattern?

    Yes you can buy individual boxes of any type or size or Kits

  7. Hi, it says that the 3mm spaces for floor only. Why is this? why can’t I use the 3mm spacers for a wall tile job (that is using 12×24 tiles)?

  8. Hi, I am interested in using this product. I want to verify this product can be used with electrical radiant floor heating. The wires are spaced every 2 inches and I am concerned that the clip that is put underneath the tile will melt. This could cause all kinds of problems including melted plastic, shrinkage where the clips are, etc. Can you please verify if the ATR leveling system can be used with electric radiant heat. Thanks

  10. Hi, I am a novice tiler and am looking to purchase your ATR system and the Bosch GTL3 tile laser. Can you advise whether the ATR spindles are likely to obstruct the laser line? I have been in contact with Bosch and they don’t think so but both systems are a sizeable investment and Would appreciate your thoughts.
